At the MSME Growth Conclave in Coimbatore, Raghuvir Srinivasan, Editor of The Hindu businessLine, outlined the critical role of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India’s economic landscape. In his welcome address, he highlighted how MSMEs account for almost one-third of India’s GDP, support a significant share of the manufacturing workforce, and collectively employ millions across the country— second only to agriculture.
With over 7.2 crore enterprises, the sector continues to be a key driver of industrial growth and economic resilience, he said.
