Observed every year on June 27, World MSME Day recognises the vital contribution of micro, small, and medium enterprises in driving economic growth, innovation, and employment. In India, 8.77 crore registered MSMEs contribute 31.1 per cent of GDP, account for 35.4 per cent of manufacturing output, and 48.58 per cent of exports, while providing employment to 38.9 crore people.
