New Delhi, May 6 (KNN) NITI Aayog on Tuesday launched the Central Prabhari Officer (CPO) Portal, a digital platform aimed at improving real-time governance, enhancing coordination, and accelerating last-mile delivery under the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme (ADP/ABP).
The portal was unveiled by NITI Aayog CEO Nidhi Chhibber during a virtual event attended by central and state officials, including CPOs, District Magistrates and Planning Secretaries.
Focus on Data-Driven and Responsive Governance
In her address, Chhibber said the platform marks a step towards a transparent and responsive governance ecosystem. She highlighted that the portal enables real-time submission and tracking of field observations, ensuring that grassroots inputs directly inform policy decisions and administrative action.
Rohit Kumar, Additional Secretary and Mission Director, ADP/ABP, NITI Aayog emphasised the role of data-driven governance and noted that the portal would streamline communication and improve administrative responsiveness across different levels of government.
How the Portal Works
The CPO Portal allows Central Prabhari Officers to upload field observations and recommendations in real time through mobile devices. Once submitted, the inputs become visible to district authorities, who can take action and provide responses.
State governments can monitor developments and coordinate across departments, while officials at NITI Aayog and line ministries can track progress and ensure timely implementation.
Improving Coordination and Accountability
Designed as a unified digital interface, the platform aims to bridge the gap between field-level insights and policy execution. It offers instant visibility, structured monitoring and enhanced accountability across stakeholders.
Key features include real-time data capture, improved Centre–State–District coordination, and digital tracking of actions taken on recommendations.
